Revoke certificate

Certificates have to be revoked in case of:

  • suspicion of a private key theft
  • mistakes or errors detected in a certificate
  • a change of data in a certificate
  • resignation from the certification services provided by CERTUM
  • a loss or a destruction of smart card with a certificate, also in case of suspicion of loss (only for private certificates)

Apart from the above mentioned situations, a user may demand certificate’s revocation at any time. A revocation demand may also come from e.g. a user’s employer (if that person financed a given certificate).

Revoke qualified certificates

Qualified certificates can be revoked:

  • by contacting with our consultant by telephone: +48 91 4801 360,
  • directly in CERTUM Registration Point,
  • sending revocation form by fax: +48 91 4801 360.

Qualified certificate can be revoked by subscriber or by subscriber’s supervisor (only when certificate contains information about subscriber’s company).

 

Revoke SSL, Email and Codesign certificates

Certificates may be revoked:

  • online using your CERTUM account: revoke_certificate
  • by an official request (hard-copy) sent by mail, signed by the subscriber or authorized person (subscriber's supervisor or person indicated in the agreement)

Qualified certificate can be revoked by subscriber or by subscriber’s supervisor (only when certificate contains information about subscriber’s company).
