Revoke certificate

Certificates have to be revoked in case of:

  • suspicion of a private key theft
  • mistakes or errors detected in a certificate
  • a change of data in a certificate
  • resignation from the certification services provided by CERTUM
  • a loss or a destruction of smart card with a certificate, also in case of suspicion of loss (only for private certificates)

Apart from the above mentioned situations, a user may demand certificate’s revocation at any time. A revocation demand may also come from e.g. a user’s employer (if that person financed a given certificate).

How to do it

Certificates may be revoked:

  • directly on our web site: revoke certificate
  • by an official request (hard-copy) sent by mail, signed by the subscriber or authorized person (subscriber's supervisor or person indicated in the agreement)
