Qualified certificates enable electronic signatures with legal effects equivalent to the ones of hand-written signatures. SSL certificates ensure the encryption and authenticity of websites. Audits and certifications

Certum is subject to rigorous audits and meets the highest standards in information security. One of the key audits we regularly undergo is the WebTrust audit. We were the first certification center in Poland to obtain the WebTrust seal, confirming our compliance with “best practices” in online information security activities. WebTrust audits are conducted by external, independent auditors who assess our compliance with specified standards concerning security, privacy, and data integrity. Additionally, our services comply with the eIDAS regulation, as confirmed by our listing as a qualified trust service provider and the audits conducted by appropriate accredited certification bodies.

Certification Centers play a crucial role in ensuring security and trust in the digital world.  Their main task is to issue digital certificates that confirm the identity of websites, users, and devices. This enables the establishment of secure connections, encryption of communications, and verification of data authenticity. The activities of Certification Centers include detailed identity verification before issuing a certificate, monitoring and managing the certificate lifecycle, and responding to security incidents such as cryptographic key compromise. Through their operations, the data of Internet users is protected, and online transactions are secure.
