Qualified certificates provided by Unizeto are now trusted on a global scale
A report confirming the compliance of qualified certification services provided by Unizeto Technologies SA with the worldwide WebTrust standards set by the organization AICPA/CICA, was published on January 8, 2010 at https://cert.webtrust.org/ViewSeal?id=998. Therefore our CERTUM General Certification Authority – as the only Polish certification authority - is one of the few entities in the world which provide qualified services related to e-signature and are globally trusted.
Certificate of compliance with the WebTrust standards, granted to qualified certification services provided by CERTUM, is a confirmation for all users as well as technology and business partners that the confidentiality of processed data, reliability of the system and business practices of our certification authority were examined and positively assessed by qualified independent worldwide recognized auditors. Holders of qualified certificates issued by CERTUM can therefore use e-signatures which are equivalent to personal signatures pursuant to European Union law and are recognized as worldwide trusted by web browsers.
Audit, conducted from September 22 to December 22, 2009 by Ernst & Young Business Advisory, covered systems: reception, issuance, renewal, cancellation and distribution of qualified certificates, as well as registration and subscribers key management. Examination included also: integrated cryptographic cards life cycle and security level of provided services, security policies, access to systems, methods used to ensure continuity of service and event monitoring.
Obtaining the WebTrust seal for qualified services is the next step of Unizeto Technologies towards the globalization of all offered qualified and non-qualified certification services, which already underwent a number of audits and were approved to have complied with certain Web Trust SM/TM standards for certification authorities in 2002.
